Core Scientific Offerings
BioMedEcon applies information obtained from comparative effectiveness research; competitive product analyses; data synthesis; and pricing, coverage and reimbursement research to develop, test, and produce innovative, transparent, pragmatic, flexible, and robust pharmacoeconomic (PE) models that highlight your product’s clinical and economic attributes. We strategize with the client to consider how various approaches to pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research might best produce results that are likely to enhance the product’s value story.
PE modeling approaches may include:
- Budget impact modeling
- Burden of illness
- Cost-of-illness studies
- Cost-effectiveness analysis
- Cost-utility analysis
- Cost-benefit analysis
- Cost-offset analysis
Our models are developed in collaboration with expert clinicians, academic researchers and P&T decision makers so that they are clearly conceived, transparent, understandable, meaningful and replicable. This process results in robust, peer-reviewed and trusted models utilized at the point of P&T review and contracting.
PE models may be presented in a variety of formats. BioMedEcon has particular expertise in presenting models using customized software with a user-friendly graphical interface and interactive features that allow the client to adjust values of key variables (e.g., case mix, pricing, risks) and determine how they affect the model output. We have found that disseminating this software to clinicians and payers through medical science liaisons (MSLs) greatly enhances.
